Before You Begin

These public safety points are adapted from the Common Yoga Protocol guidance and are meant for general awareness.

Choose the right setting Practice in a clean, calm space. Use a mat or folded blanket, and wear light comfortable clothing.
Keep the body ready Practice on an empty or light stomach. Empty the bladder and bowels before starting whenever possible.
Know when to ask first If you have chronic disease, pain, cardiac problems, pregnancy, menstruation-related concerns, or acute illness, consult a physician or trained yoga expert.
